Brandee Miller, M.A.
I’m a lifelong language explorer and have a bachelor’s degree in English and a master’s degree in Spanish. Before my 16 years as a proofreader and editor, I taught English and Spanish at the college and high school levels. I love the art and craft of language and languages. While it’s exacting work, I love negotiating language and all its pitfalls. After all, language is what makes us tick.
As well as editing traditional manuscripts (novels, children’s stories, nonfiction), I have provided quality assurance for all types of advertising: digital, print, and scripts for radio and television. Throughout my years as a proofreader, I’ve worked on commercials that have appeared during the Super Bowl, advertisements in major print vehicles, and catalogs for IT and trucking companies.
I’m an avid reader of all types of fiction and nonfiction. My favorite fiction genres are fantasy, horror, and science fiction though I read many genres to continue my education. You’ll usually find me reading a few books at a time in various languages on diverse subjects.
Whatever your editing need, please reach out. I am happy to have a conversation to see if I am the right person for your project.

An Amazon review for Politikill: JDobbinsPHD: This novel grabs your attention from the first page and refuses to let go until the last line. The story line is first rate, the characters compelling, the pacing perfect, and the copyediting was among the best I have seen. Great job, Tim.
